03-02-16 – Hi Everyone! Even tho It’s been a while since the last update, I’m still at it making new art whenever I get the chance and this year I have a lot of my usual events and yearly activities planned and are getting ready for more fun times.
FANTASY 6 will be coming up soon, it will open on March 20 at the RSASA Gallery cnr North Tce and Kintore Ave in Adelaide City, that will be huge and will be open for 3 weeks,(invites and more info coming out soon)
Also during that time will be OzComic Con Perth and Adelaide which I hope to exhibit at, (tho I won’t be at the first few Supanova’s for the year)
The Gumeracha Medieval Fair on May 7/8th is on my books this year as is Avcon 16/17 July, I hope to see you there Guys! I have a number of new works up my sleeves and shown here is a sneak peek of one of my latest works in progress.
18-05-14 – What a year so far. More details coming soon but 2014 has been progressing with a vengeance, The first convention season of the year I had a stall in, included Oz Comic Con Perth, Adelaide and Supanova Melb, then The Gumeracha Medieval Fair, it was a great Event this year and my new art and stock was very well received, many thanks to my helpers and everyone who came by, thanks guys! I am looking forward to Supanova Sydney, Perth, Oz Comic Con Melb and Avcon next, see you there!
03-04-13– I have 2 new pieces of art for the galleries, the lost Dragons and my version of Arcangel Michael, done last year but recently improved with new background, colours etc. I have been busy lately mostly doing commissions and getting ready for future events, like Supanova in Melbourne next week, then the Medieval fair in Gumeracha and the Fantasy 4 Exhibition on May 26 at RSASA on North Tce, if you would like any fliers to help hand out, let me know!
18-03-13– Now that Oz Comic Con in Adelaide is over for now I can focus on the next big events, In Adelaide on the 4th and 5th of May I will be having a nice big stall at the ever popular Gumeracha Medieval Fair! It promises to once again be a great weekend, with loads to see and do. I also have the pleasure of doing the posters for the Annual event and managing the Website and helping out with promotion, here is this years poster, i’m looking forward to the event, I hope to see you there, i’ll be available for Medieval Portraits all weekend!
18-03-13– Wow, we just got back from Oz Comic Con in Adelaide, it was a blast, we had a great time and did well in promoting my new artbook! As well as promoting upcoming events. Many thanks to my helpers Tash Dana and Dani, I couldn’t have done it without you.
I thought the busy Oz Comic Con weekend was well organised and promoted, having two big name actors (William Shatner and Richard Dean Anderson) amongst many others to draw the crowds and still having enough space to move. Thanks Oz Comic Con and thanks to everyone who came by!

13-03-13– Congrats to the Space Pyrates Kids for a succesfull fundraising campagn, you guys reached your target and did well, i’ll look forward to seeing your creative efforts at the next big convention, cheers guys.
22-02-13– If you are in Semaphore this weekend, come drop by the Masonic hall on the main st, Myself and Tash will be joining in with some members from the Port Community Art Centre and some local schools as they are doing a mini art market setup in the hall, I’ll be having a stall of my books and artwork, come check it out!
10-01-13– a couple of great creative friends, Matthew Hoddy and Caitlin Major from the convention circuit are doing a fundraiser to get thier Space Pyrates comic off the ground, check it out and help them get there
31-12-12– Hi Guys, I wish you all a great new years eve and an awesome 2013! Thanks to your efforts, the books have been produced very nicely and almost all have now been sent out to be received soon if not already.

28-12-12– I hope everyone has had a great Xmas! The new dragon artbooks are out and people are receiving theirs now I also just dropped some more into the city, I am now selling them at Quirky Stylin! And Adelaide Comics Centre and Miss Pixie have been restocked too. Thanks guys ♥
21-12-12– Wow, today has been fun, we have gone to pick up the art books from the printers and have been madly working to get them out as soon as possible. Thanks Tash, Potsy and Dani for helping with our little production line setup If you have contributed to the fundraiser, expect your book soon!
We have also just delivered some to a couple of shops in the city, The “Dragon Art” book is proudly sold and supported by Adelaide Comics Centre and Miss Pixie, if your in the mall, go along and check them out.
17-12-12– I Went to the book printers this morning to sign off on the final book print test, everything works nicely and we are good to go! I will be getting the full print run of my dragon artbooks this Friday with any luck! Many Thanks to my friends from Isshoni Creative for setting this up so fast.

13-12-12– The Artbook Grand Finale went very well, it was great to catch up with many of my supporters and friends to celebrate the success of the project, I hope you all had an awesome night, many thanks to those attending and those who helped make the night happen, Miss Pixie lended some awesome help with the venue and setting up, Two Bit Villains did a great job with the food and drink supply, Potsy took some great photos and I couldnt have done it without Dani and Tash, thanks guys. At 9pm on schedule, I said a few words, and we quickly went about drawing prizes for the framed artworks on display, there was much excitement, Mel Dyer and Tash helped with the drawing and Potsy was on hand with a can opener to open the tins as we went around the room.

11-12-12– CONGRATS EVERYONE! With a massive thanks to all those who have donated and taken part in making this little dream a reality, we are there! The artbook funding target has been reached and funds will be processed, with a only little time to spare! I am definately blown away with all your support, big thanks to everyone helping out! If you can make it to the event tomorrow night, we will be celebrating and giving away some artworks as a thankyou
05-12-12– I have created an event coming up soon to help promote my artbook, it will be “Emersons Book Fundraiser Grand Finale“ Together with Miss Pixi and Two Bit Villains, Emerson Ward will be hosting an evening to celebrate the end of his 1st Artbook funding drive. Miss Pixi will be open for all your fuzzy squishy thing needs and Two Bit Villains will be providing food and drinks (drink specials will be available for house wine, Coopers Pale and Cider). All are welcome and should the funding campaign reach target by 9pm, it will be a joyous occasion with 6 or more of his special framed art prints being given away to lucky donators who are in attendance!
04-12-12– The book funding drive is coming along it has almost reached half of the 7,000 target with 9 days to go! We have a new video up to promote the book funding drive, act 1 of 4, its a bit of fun with lots of viking mayhem stay tuned for the rest of the story!
02-12-12– The Xmas Craft & Gift Fair was on this weekend and I had a stall there, 2by 3m, we put on a good display and got a fair bit of interest. It was the first of its kind I have been to and I was interested to see how it would go. We did a lot of promotion for the book fundraiser and got a lot of attention, even selling a few things along the way. It was a good opportunity to catch up with the public again tho, thanks to my helpers Dani and Tash.

18-11-12 – Adelaide Supanova was on this weekend and I had a double sized artist alley stall this time. It was on at the showgrounds Sat and Sun and had a lot happening, celebrities, stalls, artists, games, and many cosplay groups and individuals dressing up. With my new banners, display images and book fundraiser on display, we drew a lot of attention, It was a fun weekend, many thanks to my friends from isshoni creative, and BlackZone Media for helping with promotion and filming of the Video and thanks to my helpers, Jim, Tash and Dana.
17-11-12– “Save the Seas”, a fundraising event at Higher Ground has been put on by the Adelaide Sea Shepherd conservation society. Last night they had thier big night with live music guest speakers, merch stalls, raffles and a silent art auction, all to raise funds for the societies naval actions in preserving sealife. I have been helping them setup the art displays and hang the work over the past few days and its come together nicely, Thanks to Geoff and Raven for thier great help in making things happen.
My contribution towards the auction was a large size print of my specially made “Whalemen Revenge” pic and a small acrylic painted Tryptich of the same story. They were very well received and I look forward to seeing the silent auction results. It was a great night and everyone had a blast.
14-11-12 – Together with my friends from isshoni creative, I have officially started an online fundraising campaign to enable me to get my first Dragon Artbook printed, It will be 60 full colour pages of Dragon goodness. The funding drive is up until the 13th of Dec and we have many cool rewards available for those placing donations. 14 -10-12– Armageddon Melbourne, was a blast, Its always fun going on interstate convention trips, this one went quite smoothly. The art prints and merch table was well received once again and we had fun. This time we were joined by a fellow artist Anthony Christou and he did quite well, joining in with some of his work on my table. Thanks for your help Anthony.
02-10-12-This long weekend I have been at the Semaphore Music Festival with a small setup and busking style portraits display. I managed to stay in the shade most of the time and didn’t do too badly over the 3 days doing on the spot portraits for those attending the festival. It was a good event with lots of great music.
09-09-12– I am just back from attending the RSASA AGM and end of the Associates for fellowship exhibition. Its confirmed, I am now a fellow of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts and a member of the selection committee! I seem to have this habbit of putting my hand up for things 😉 It will be good to take a more active role in the Art society tho. It was a good afternoon of catching up with people from the art group, Thanks Vikki, Bev and all the voting fellows for accepting me.
02-09-12 – We are back from a 2 day weekend fair at the Gawler Show, I had a large 3 by 6m stand there this year and it went fairly well. There was a fair bit of interest from local Gawler fans who haven’t seen me for a few years.
22-08-12 – The RSASA Fellowship Exhibition has been setup and is good to go, it will stay up for a few weeks while the Fellows of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts vote on and decide who will be the Next fellowship members of the society. I have a bit over 3m of space, too many framed artworks to fit and a large tressel table decked out with small prints, merchandise and other bits and pieces.
15 -08-12– There is news on the art society front As of last week I am now an active member on the Board of the Port Community Arts Centre and hope to be taking a much more active role in things there. They have a members group exhibition opening this Sat the 18th at 2pm that I have some works in, “Sala’d Days“, come check it out if you are near Port Adelaide, there is a lot of cool art from many artists there. I will be sitting the gallery this Sun Avo too if anyone wants to drop by for a chat
12-08-12– Just back from the Adelaide showgrounds and picking up my work from the Royal South Australian Society of Art’s exhibit at the Science Alive annual kids science event, It was a big success, the art exhibit was very well received and my two works, “Dragon Platforms” and “Cedric” were particular favorites for attention amongst the visiting school kids.
30-07-12– Avcon Adelaide finished yesterday, its a 2 day Anime and video game Convention at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Once again I attended with an Artist Alley stall of prints and Merchandise. This year was particularly successful, the stall spanned 2 tables featuring several news works and a lot of fresh stock, we did very well, thank you to everyone who came by, bought some art and even said hi, it’s always great to meet the public. Special thanks to Jim my loyal Helper & his Wife Denelle, Tash who helped out and joined in with a display of her own wonderful goddess themed art and friend and Armoured Life Drawing regular Dana for helping out, couldn’t have done it without you all.
22-07-12– Today I Attended the Royal South Australian Society of Art’s SALA Exhibition “Into the Melting Pot” at their North Terrace Gallery, I have 2 works in this exhibition “Tame Dragon” and “Cedric & Hurdy Gurdy” both recent 2012 works. The opening was well attended, with an opening speech by the Helpmann Academy director. My works got a fair amount of good attention and its always great networking with the Art Society Crew. I am now booked in to join in the next exhibition “Application to Fellowship” on the 22-08-12 where I will be applying for the prestigious “fellowship” membership level and will be setting up my own 3m display area, wish me luck
20-07-12– I Have had the Pleasure of working with the Lovely Jade & Alanna from the new emerging band “Metea“. Song demos online here. I have completed an Albumn Cover design for thier music CD’s which has been very well received and I am happy to announce I will be stocking a limited supply of their CD’s at my Avcon and future stalls.
13-07-12– It’s Friday the 13th! and apart from a special edition of Armoured Life Drawing, Today marks the opening of “Miss Pixi” an adorable little giftshop upstairs in Adelaide Arcade. They are stocking all sorts of cute and fuzzies, clothing, jewllery, steampunk gear, random objects and Fantasy Art by Emerson Ward. Its awesome working with them, everyone should go and check them out!
